Connection Is a Core Human Need, But We Are Terrible at It

Humans evolved as tribal creatures, to connect and engage with others around them, to experience a feeling of “oneness” and belonging. Yet more than ever our lives are designed to keep us apart, to prevent us from finding genuine connection all around us. We are taught that connection should be reserved for only specific people, our family, friends, romantic partners, our pets, when in reality our minds and hearts have a natural tendency to strive for connection everywhere.
