108 Sun Salutations - Summer Solstice Session

June 21 is the Summer Solstice which is the longest day of the year and marks the first official day of Summer. June also marks the first year of @TheYogiKim doing what she loves: teaching yoga ♥ Come to celebrate the beginning of Summer and her first year of teaching by practicing 108 sun salutations!

Cost: $20, sign-up/check-in at or Venmo @Kimberly-Reyes-4 with message "108 @theyogikim" 



The session will be 90-min which includes integration (warm-up), 4 sets of different Sun A variations, counter stretch (restorative), and meditation/rest (silence) to end. All levels are welcome!

Doors open 7:45 pm, class begins 8:00 pm; come at least 5-10 min before class to check-in and settle down.

Street parking is available (free after 6pm). Muni.

Mats will be available, although I highly encourage you to bring your own if you have one! Props will be provided. Bring your own towel and water.


Significance of 108:

- 108 beads on every mala (prayer beads)

- a sacred number in Hinduism and yoga

- According to yogic tradition, there are 108 Upanishads (sacred texts) and 108 marma points, or sacred places of the body.

- Renowned mathematicians (Vedic) viewed 108 as a number of the wholeness of existence

- 108 Earths (diameter) fit across the Sun

- 108 Suns fit between the Earth and Sun

- 108 Moons (Earth's moon) fit between the Earth and Moon
